Specialist Storage

Specialist storage, qualified to the requirement.

Specialist storage and secure-infrastructure applications need an envelope engineered around the requirement. THOM BEE is a configurable platform — each use case is qualified against its own requirements, engineering and approval pathway.

Illustrative THOM specialist storage application
Requirement-led

Start with what must be protected.

Storage contents, operating conditions, location, jurisdiction and authority requirements are fixed before any suitability statement is made.

Qualification pathway

No specialist approval is implied by the platform alone.

Each application is qualified against its own engineering, testing, insurer, customer and competent-authority requirements.

01

Qualification first

Before any competitive or suitability statement is made.

01
Define the use case
Storage contents, quantity, location, operating conditions and jurisdiction must be fixed first.
02
Map regulation
Dangerous-goods, hazardous-area, fire, security and environmental requirements require competent review.
03
Set structural & protection criteria
Blast, impact, forced-entry or containment needs project-specific engineering and independent verification.
04
Confirm authority acceptance
Final suitability rests with the competent authority, insurer, customer engineering standard and local code.
02

The approval pathway

Each application is qualified to its own standard.

01
No hazardous-area approval claimed
THOM does not currently claim ATEX, DSEAR, IEC 60079 or equivalent suitability.
02
No specialist fire approval claimed
Reaction-to-fire and fire-resistance evidence must be matched to the exact application.
03
No blast or forced-entry rating claimed
These require separately engineered and independently verified solutions.
04
RF requirements remain application-specific
A defined attenuation requirement and validated evidence are needed before any specialist-storage RF claim.

This page describes a qualification route, not an approval. No regulated-storage suitability is claimed until the relevant engineering, testing and independent acceptance are complete.

Next step

Start with the requirement.

Compare the envelope against conventional systems, then progress a specialist application.
